Payklever

I led the User Experience effort to help design the brand for Payklever and optimize the customer experience to sign up and manage customer accounts. Payklever was a Miami startup that intended to convert your vehicle into a mobile (literally) payment method. The strategy was to use RFID stickers that were associated to a real payment method like a Credit Card or Paypal on whatever you’re driving. The idea was to expedite lines in drive through businesses or anything involving your vehicle. Such as: gas stations, garages, fast food, and some convenient stores.

PROCESS

For me, the creative process was very visually focused. I first created mood boards and a visual language to make design more efficient. In the early months of this startup, our focus was primarily on building clients, operationalizing the stickers, and systems in place to read the stickers. The website was created as a backing for a proof of concept, while talking to investors.

 Time, TEAM & PRoject Management

The core team was 5 guys, each with a different role. Finance, Operations, Management, Sales, Design, and development. We met weekly but discussed daily through WhatsApp, as some of our team lives in Spain. The project didn’t go as planned, due to budgeting and investments but the design system is worth noting.
